Bible study

Read Scripture locally. Ask deeper questions when you choose.

The Bible reader and Scripture search are designed to work independently of cloud AI. Ask Deeper is an optional layer for historical context, interpretation, theology, and follow-up questions.

Start with the text

Read the World English Bible, move chapter by chapter, search phrases, and open direct references such as John 3:16 before asking for interpretation.

Separate text from interpretation

Ask Deeper is instructed to distinguish the biblical text from interpretation and to note meaningful differences among major Christian traditions when relevant.

No AI is needed to read Scripture

The Bible reader, direct reference lookup, and local search do not need a paid Bible API or a cloud language model after the Bible data is available on the device.

Use cloud study deliberately

Ask Deeper sends a question to the configured cloud provider. Use it when you want a study assistant—not as a replacement for Scripture, your church, or trusted teachers.

A practical study flow

  1. 1. Read the passage first. Open the chapter in the Bible reader and notice repeated words, people, setting, and argument.
  2. 2. Search related passages. Use local Bible search or the topic shortcuts to compare Scripture with Scripture.
  3. 3. Ask a focused question. In Ask Deeper, ask about context, genre, a difficult phrase, or different interpretations.
  4. 4. Verify. Re-read the passage and consult trusted study resources for important doctrinal or historical claims.
