CSV and TSV are delimited text, not full workbooks
CSV stores fields separated by commas, while tab-delimited text uses tab characters between fields. Microsoft documents both as text formats for exchanging worksheet values.
That also means workbook styling, charts and many spreadsheet-specific features are not part of the delimited data itself.
Upload a file or paste the cells directly
1into1 accepts .csv and .tsv files, and it also accepts pasted spreadsheet data. Copying a block of cells from Excel or Google Sheets commonly produces tab-separated text that can be parsed directly.
The parser checks the first record and chooses tabs when there are more tab separators than commas outside quoted fields.
Quoted CSV fields are parsed before the PDF is built
The parser supports quoted fields, doubled quotation marks inside a quoted field, and record separators that appear inside quoted content.
RFC 4180 describes the common CSV convention of enclosing fields in double quotes when they contain commas, line breaks or quotes.
The first row is used as the PDF table header
After parsing, the first row becomes the header row and the remaining rows become table data. The renderer repeats the header on continuation pages.
Add a document title when the PDF needs context beyond the column headings.
Choose A4 or Letter and check the final pagination
The converter can create A4 or US Letter output with portrait, landscape or automatic orientation. Long values wrap inside cells and very tall rows can continue across pages.
Reopen the PDF and verify headers, wrapped text, Unicode content and any rows whose cell values contain line breaks.
