How to permanently rotate an entire PDF

Apply the same 90°, 180° or 270° clockwise rotation to every page and save the orientation into a new PDF. Use Organize PDF instead when only selected pages need different rotations.

  1. Choose the PDF you want to rotate.
  2. Select 90°, 180° or 270° clockwise.
  3. Check the first-page live preview.
  4. Rotate the PDF and download the new copy.
  5. Reopen the result in another viewer to confirm the saved orientation.

A practical example

If every page in a scanned document is sideways, choose +90° once and create a new PDF whose pages open in that corrected orientation.

Common questions

Is this rotation permanent?

Yes. The downloaded PDF stores the changed page orientation instead of only rotating the temporary viewer display.

Can I rotate only one page with this standalone tool?

No. The current Rotate PDF interface applies one selected angle to the whole PDF. Use Organize PDF when individual pages need different rotations.

What angles are available?

The standalone tool offers +90°, +180° and +270° clockwise rotations.

Does rotation reduce quality?

For normal unencrypted PDFs, the standard path changes page rotation without intentionally re-rendering the page content. Internally encrypted PDFs can use a rendered compatibility path, so keep the original when exact vector or text preservation matters.

Is rotation the same as deskewing?

No. Rotate fixes quarter-turn or upside-down orientation. Deskew corrects small tilts such as a page leaning by a few degrees.

Is the PDF uploaded?

The rotation workflow runs locally in your browser.
