How to permanently redact sensitive information from a PDF

A practical example

Common questions
Is drawing a normal black or white rectangle enough?
No. A normal visual overlay may leave underlying document information recoverable. This workflow creates the redacted page output with the selected blackouts burned into it.
Does the tool verify the redacted result?
Yes. The finished PDF goes through a final blackout verification step before the normal download becomes available.
Does redaction upload my PDF?

Does redaction remove document metadata too?
