How to resize PDF pages to A4, Letter, Legal, A3 or A5
Standardize every page to a chosen paper size locally. Choose proportional Fit, Center Original without scaling, or Fill Page stretching, and optionally keep landscape source pages in landscape orientation.
- Choose the PDF whose page size you want to standardize.
- Select A4, US Letter, Legal, A3 or A5.
- Choose Fit to Page, Center Original or Fill Page.
- Leave Auto-Detect Orientation enabled when landscape pages should stay landscape.
- Resize the PDF, download the result and inspect margins, clipping or distortion on several pages.
A practical example
A mixed document can be standardized to A4. Fit to Page scales each page proportionally and centers it, while Auto-Detect Orientation keeps wide landscape pages on landscape A4 sheets.
Common questions
What does Fit to Page do?
It scales the source page proportionally until it fits inside the target page and centers it. Different page proportions can leave margins.
What does Center Original do?
It keeps the original content size and centers it on the new page. If the source is larger than the target page, some content can fall outside the new page boundary.
What does Fill Page do?
It stretches the source width and height independently to fill the target page. This removes empty margins but can distort the original proportions.
Does Resize always preserve selectable vector text?
Clean PDFs use a vector-preserving page embedding path. Complex or protected PDFs can fall back to high-resolution rendered pages for compatibility, so vector/selectable text is not guaranteed for every file.
Which page sizes are supported?
The current presets are A4, US Letter, Legal, A3 and A5.
Is the PDF uploaded?
