A PDF page can contain separate image objects
A PDF page is not always one flat picture. It can combine text, vector graphics and sampled raster images as separate objects positioned on the page.
Adobe’s PDF reference describes image XObjects as sampled visual images such as photographs. That means a photograph visible inside a report may exist as its own raster object rather than only as part of a page screenshot.
Extract the embedded raster image instead of the page
A screenshot captures whatever pixels are currently rendered on screen, including page background, text and surrounding layout. Embedded-image extraction targets the raster image object itself.
1into1 scans the PDF page operations for supported embedded and inline image objects, decodes them and exports the extracted bitmap as a PNG.
What full resolution means in this tool
For a successfully decoded image, the extractor keeps the detected bitmap width and height and creates the PNG at those pixel dimensions. It does not intentionally downscale the image to the size at which it happened to appear on the PDF page.
The output is not necessarily the original compressed JPEG or WebP byte stream. The image is decoded and written as PNG, so “full resolution” here refers to the extracted bitmap dimensions rather than preservation of the original file encoding.
Vector graphics are different
Logos, diagrams or illustrations in a PDF can be drawn as vector instructions instead of stored as raster images. A raster-image extractor may therefore find nothing even though the page visibly contains graphics.
If you need the complete visible page, including vector artwork and text, use PDF to Image to render the whole page instead.
Download individually or as a ZIP
After scanning, review the extracted gallery and pixel dimensions. Download one PNG when you need a specific figure, or package all found images into a ZIP.
For sensitive reports or documents, local browser processing also avoids the ordinary workflow of uploading the source PDF to a remote extraction service.
